The Emir of Kano Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero has charged philanthropists and wealthy individuals to assist the less previlaged students in the society to actualize their dreams.
Emir of Rano Charges Alumni Associations to pay back to Alma mater
Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero made the call while recieving class of 91 Bayero University Kano who paid his a courtesy visit as part of activities to mark 30 years reunion of Bayero University Kano graduants.
According to the Emir, education is the backbone of any meaningful society as such there was the need for government and relevant stakeholders to work tirelessly in developing the education sector.
Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero,reaffirmed Kano emirate council’s readiness in supporting policies and programs aimed at uplifting the standard of education.
He commended class 91 of Bayero University Kano for organizing the reunion that will pave way for rendering assistance to their alma mater.
Earlier speaking the chairman of the delegation, Alhaji Sanusi Abdullahi said they were at the palace to seek for blessings after graduating from BUK in 1991
He explained that, the delegation comprise of Makaman Rano and Provost of Sa’adatu Rimi College of Education Professor Isah Yahaya Bunkure,Ambassador Bello Hussaini Kazaure General Sani Usman Kuka Sheka, among others.
Alhaji Sunusi Abdullahi said class 91 would present awards to some deserving Nigerians including the Chief Iman of Kano central mosques Professor Sani Zahradeen who was the vice chancellor of Bayero University Kano in 1991.
The leader of the delegation said,class 91 was committed to ensuring that Bayero University Kano to competes with others globally in terms of infrastructure and modern learning materials.
